 North Lopham is situated just off the A1066 through South Lopham.  The village has approximately 600 residents.

Have you ever thought what your Parish Council is here to do?  The Council is made up of 7 members who all reside in North Lopham and represent the village on various matters.  We are effectively the third tier of local government answering to Breckland District Council and Norfolk County Council.  We meet at 7.30 p.m. bi monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at The Mess, St Andrews School.  The public are very welcome to attend these meetings and we encourage people to speak during the open forum which is part of each formal meeting.  We discuss a wide range of issues which directly affect the community and are responsible for such things as:

Upkeep of St Nicholas Churchyard
Dog bins and signs
The War Memorial
Maintenance of the footpaths and pond
Road signs and traffic calming

The flooding on the bend between North and South Lopham has been reported ENQ 900127586

The blocked drain ENQ 152330-R7K6J4 at The Mere has been chased with NCC

Next Parish Council Meeting is 14th March 2018 – 19.30 at The Mess

Blocked drain opposite Black Horse Cottage reported to BDC and NCC (ENQ900124787) also BDC chased re Rangers to side out the footpath along The Street and The Green

Pot hole just by the Post office has been reported to NCC, (13.12.17) this occurred following Anglia Water repair

Next Parish Council Meeting is Wednesday 10th January 2018. Meetings in 2018 are on 14th March 2018, 9th May 2018, 11th July 2018, 12th September 2018, 14th November 2018

We have reported the fading white lines at the junction of Harling Rd/The Green and the broken wooden sign post. Enq nos ENQ900122792 and 22793

Parish Plan/Village Design Statement- A proposal has been made to the Parish Council that the residents of North Lopham should consider preparing a Village Plan which would cover numerous aspects, including play area, traffic, planning etc. Any one interested should contact the Parish Clerk.

The broken wooden direction sign outside Florence Cottage has been reported to NCC for repair – ref no ENQ9000874891
